I am mild-mannered, earth-centered, and water-connected.

I like singing when no one can hear me, photographing the world around me, and celebrating nature.

I avoid loud, angry voices, people who gossip, negative influences, and toxic relationships.

I love large shade trees, hanging with the hippies, and wide, open spaces.

The people you may meet in this journal include:

• The Moon, who is ten and has an artistic eye, wise eyes, and a calm soul (she wants to be a veterinarian);
• The Sun, who is eight, with a flair for drama and excitement (but also human touch…she wants to be a midwife who gives her clients massages);
• The Comet, who is six and always on the move (he is still undecided about a career choice, although he has narrowed down his options to running a lemonade stand, becoming a florist, and becoming a dancer, professional skateboarder, or the next Spiderman);
• Angus, my husband, and that’s not his real name, but he gets called that a lot;
• and, of course, me…Scrappitydoodah. Or Jill. I answer to both.
