The Verdict in In
Oct 8th, 2007 by scrappitydoodah
Looks like we are going to continue homeschooling.
More later; I’m trying to plan a blessingway, refinance our house, and complete a few other projects, and time is limited, limited, limited.
I miss the blogosphere. Kisses!
Oh, good! I would have missed you terribly!
I am happy for you and your family. (And I, too, would have missed you awfully). You sound incredibly busy! I’ll see you when you come up for air.
I’m glad too - I’ve only just found you and yet I would miss you too!
I’m so glad you came to some resolutions about your situation and I hope they can translate into some real changes for you. When I read your little list of everything you have to do at the moment, I felt exhausted! I hope you’ve left some time for breathing!
I myself, I am an introvert too. I love homeschooling and mothering, but I also need some alone-time to refresh my energy. I helped my dd to understand this through stories that I made up to illustrate the point, and I helped myself understand it by acknowledging it was a health issue which could not be ignored. Guilt wasn’t allowed to come into it - if I didn’t get alone-time, I got sick.
Wishing you luck … and peace!
Whew! I’m glad you decided to stay. I just joined your mybloglog community and would have missed reading your blog if you left.
I sympathize and can tell you you’re not alone with the introvert with extrovert children. The stream of consciousness has no dams around here, let me tell you.
It’s one of those things that kids have to learn. That other people need time alone or with kids being quiet for awhile. I take a “nap” everyday, although I never fall asleep. My daughter thinks I do though and tries to be quiet. Usually she plays Harvest Moon or visits Club Penguin then. It’s a treat for her and for me.
She spends one day every other week with a homeschooling friend, whose son spends one day every other week with us. We go outside a lot and she runs circles around me like a sheepdog while I plod along admiring the clouds, changing leaves and fresh air.
It’s not easy, but it’s easier than putting them in school. We decided a while ago that it’s just not an option, so we have to make it work in other days. Hang in there. They’ll be teens before you know it and you won’t have a clue what their stream of consciousness has in it.
Shine On,
Lill
Ditto everyone else!
It’ll take some time but you’ll find ways to deal with the problems. It’s certainly a challenge wroth tackling.
Goodness you are busy! I’m glad you’re sticking with hs’ing but I definately know what it feels like to have to stop and retake stock of things. You’re doing a great job hun.
BTW- some weiner hacked my Sona Creidhe Reviews site so don’t link to it anymore. It’s not fit to link to at all anymore.
I have a new review blog at http://lwhreviews.blogspot.com if you want to change to that.
Hang in there and we’re rooting for you always.
